SEDC Unveiling First-of-its-Kind Deep-Level Analysis Suite

Atlanta, GA. – February 01, 2020. SEDC will roll out a powerful new analytics suite for use among electric utilities at its upcoming IQ20 conference. The SEDC ENtensity Suite leverages the incredible processing capabilities of its cloud-based database platform Snowflaketo render large volumes of AMI data into actionable visual intensity models.

Historically, that data has been largely unusable, due to limitations in compute power and the sheer magnitude of data volume. With ENtensity, a utility’s complete consumption history can be loaded into a series of a la carte, customizable visualizations, enabling users to make informed decisions based on usage at the individual customer level.

“Not only does it reveal valuable energy consumption insights, but it also provides a detailed analysis of which members consume most of their energy during our peak,” says John Wilson, Director of Analytics at North Georgia EMC, which provided the initial AMI data utilized during the product development phase. “The insights revealed by this analysis will help us develop targeted rate structures and energy efficiency programs that provide a meaningful benefit to our members and the cooperative.”

“When we asked industry-leading rate consultants to evaluate our approach during the initial development phases, we were told they’ve never seen anything like this before. We knew we were onto something special,” Says Robert Basaraba, Vice President of Strategic Projects for SEDC. “This first look will be a special treat for attendees of our IQ20 conference this year.”

The SEDC IQ20 Analytics conference will take place from February 17th, 2020 – February 20th, 2020. Prospective attendees can register here.
