Your electric consumer visits the existing Bill Payment and Presentment Application and is redirected to the SEDC Payment Gateway.
Prior to submitting the payment, your consumer is notified of a convenience fee amount that will be applied to the consumer’s credit card account. Your utility’s database is updated at that time with the amount paid less the convenience fee. The consumer is provided an electronic receipt of the transaction.
The SEDC Payment Gateway can also be accessed through SEDC’s UPN Inquiry, SEDC’s IVR interface and SEDC’s Remote Payment System (RPS). Your utility chooses the fee structure charged to the electric consumer for the transaction. SEDC provides a flexible solution
allowing either:
-
A percentage based fee of the dollar amount of the bill without a limit.
-
A flat fee with a limit on the amount the electric consumer is allowed to charge.
Your utility may also choose to subsidize part of either fee structure. SEDC’s Financial Services Department provides your utility with balancing totals and funds your bank account the amount the customer paid toward his/her bill. SEDC’s Financial Services Department also administers the application set-up. To learn more about this special offer, contact TJ Castello at 770-414-8400 ext. 2714.
