Extend Your Ability to Communicate with Your Customers

Utility billing software is only as effective as the customers who receive the bills – which is why UPN’s utility software is paired with our automatic Alerts & Reminders system. SEDC’s Alerts & Reminders keeps customers informed like never before, delivering vital messages directly to a customer’s mobile phone or e-mail address.

  • Inform customers when bills are coming due
  • Alert customers if payment is needed immediately
  • Confirm changes made to a customer’s account
  • Send text messages directly to a customer’s mobile phone
  • Deliver automatic, instant e-mails with important customer links
  • Ensure that messages get through to customers, on time, every time.

Alerts & Reminders will reach customers as soon as possible – day or night, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Multiple types of messages are available, including Due Date Approaching, Due Date Past, Changes Made to Account Profile, Returned Check, and Payment Confirmation. Everything can be customized to your specifications, from the format and text of the messages to the mobile carriers offered.

  • Both national and local mobile carriers recognized
  • Default messages available, or write your own
  • Use text messages for important and immediate alerts
  • E-mail messages can be lengthier with more detailed information
  • View saved histories of all previously-sent message

And when Alerts & Reminders works with UPN’s electric/water/gas billing software, many other options are available at the click of a mouse: mobile numbers will automatically populate from a customer’s profile, Alerts & Reminders history is written to the notes section of a customer screen, and an Alerts & Reminders tab facilitates quick Searches and Inquiries.

Alerts & Reminders also operates in conjunction with SEDC’s Customer Portal, which allows greater interaction between consumers and your CIS billing software. The main benefit includes allowing consumers to set up their own Alerts, which will give them another level of control over their accounts – and hopefully avoid any missed payments in the future.
